L. Barry Lebowitz

With decades of experience in financial management and in the Atlanta real estate market, Barry Lebowitz synthesizes his knowledge and expertise to bring valuable services to investors and users at Camden Commercial Real Estate in Atlanta.

Upon graduating with a Master of Accounting degree from the University of Georgia, Barry began his career in financial management as a senior auditor for Atlanta-based KPMG Peat Marwick. Shortly thereafter, Barry joined the American Security Insurance Group where became Senior Vice President and Chief Financial Officer, where he was responsible for all general and financial reporting for the company.

In the years since, Barry has amassed an impressive resume, including a ten year stint as Executive Vice President of Finance and as a member of the Board of Directors for Coca Cola West Company. At Coca Cola West, Barry was an integral part of the team responsible for eleven acquisitions, increasing revenue to $109 million and assets to approximately $110 million.

In the 1990s, Barry became involved in the real estate market as an investor in Northstar Hotels, Inc and as an associate broker with Vantosh-Gordon Real Estate LLC. During his employment at Vantosh-Gordon, L. Barry was responsible for developing opportunities in both Savannah and Atlanta, and structured a $3 million real estate development opportunity in the Savannah area.

In April, 2004 L. Barry compiled his years of professional success and knowledge into the formation of Lewis B. Lebowitz Real Estate, now Camden Commercial Real Estate. With partner Warren Bruno, L. Barry has dedicated himself and Camden to providing high quality brokerage and investment services to small to medium size real estate investments and users. Focusing on attention to detail and conservative objective analysis of potential investments are two of the major trademarks of L. Barry and Camden’s unique approach to real estate investing.

In his free time, L. Barry enjoys history, skiing, and cycling, and is a member of The Big Head Society, The Round Table, The Vinings Club, and The University of Georgia President’s Club.
